Experience
As a tutor, I use a kinesthetic and visual approach. Kinesthetic learning, or tactile learning, is a style in which learning takes place by the students carrying out hands-on activities, rather than listening to a lecture or watching demonstrations. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Math at the University of Central Florida. I am now working toward a bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering and plan to pursue a master's degree in Environmental Engineering after I complete my undergraduate studies.I have taught Developmental Math (Beginner Algebra/Pre-Algebra) for five years and have tutored college students in courses ranging from Developmental Math through Calculus for seven years. I tutor Algebra 1 and 2, Calculus 1 and 2, Pre-Calculus, Biology, Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry. I most enjoy tutoring Math (Developmental through Calculus) and Science (primarily Biology). In my spare time, I enjoy going to movies, reading comics and books, photography, hiking, and camping.
