I have been a teacher for three years. I also design curriculum for a publisher that specializes in material for students who are acquiring English as a second language. Previously, I worked with students as a tutor.My educational and work experience has given me the tools I need to make effective individualized lesson plans based specifically on the needs of my student. I recognize that not all students learn the same way, and it is important to use teaching methods best suited for the individual's learning style.I tutor several courses, including reading, writing, phonics, grammar and mechanics, English, and American history. I have extensive experience working with students who are learning English as a second language, and have a wide variety of resources to help facilitate language acquisition. I am also available to help students improve their study and organization skills, which will facilitate academic excellence.During my free time, I enjoy spending times outdoors, football, and cooking.
