Education
Experience
I graduated with an Administration Assistant degree from Banca Institute in Puerto Rico. I worked for over a decade tutoring and assisting educators at a Charter school. During that time, I assisted students with science, math, and reading in daily tutoring sessions. I was also an active participant during classes, where I worked alongside teachers to enhance classroom discussions and aid students who were struggling. I specialize in tutoring reading and mathematics, but I am comfortable with a variety of subjects, including Spanish and reading. Through individual instruction, I have seen students grow by leaps and bounds in these subject areas. I also have plenty of experience with standardized tests, and I am able to guide students to markedly higher scores through tutoring sessions. Outside the classroom, I was involved with various extracurriculars such as the Safety Patrol Program. These activities helped to teach me the positive effects of involvement outside of the academic sphere. I believe in going beyond the purely scholastic role of a tutor, and working as a personal mentor to students who need such support. In my personal life, I love working in the garden. It's great to see produce after many hours of hard work. I also enjoy watching NASCAR races.
